School Safety

To ensure the safety of students and pupils. Support the prevention of incidents and accidents.

Our AI system protects the safety of students, pupils and school personnel by detecting suspicious persons or those who stay in off-limits areas for long periods of time from surveillance camera images, determining the density and closeness of people for infectious disease control, and detecting fire and smoke in outdoor facilities where fire detectors cannot be installed.

Selling Points

The system detects people who enter off-limits areas or who stay in the same place for a long period of time based on surveillance camera images and alerts the school guards.

The system measures the number of students and pupils in a specified area, and detects and reports when the number of students and pupils exceeds a threshold value.

Surveillance cameras can be installed in locations where it is difficult to install fire detectors to quickly detect and report fire or smoke.

Standard Features

24 hours a day, 365 days a year, surveillance camera video is used as input to an AI Box installed onsite (at the edge) to perform AI inference processing in real time onsite.

AI Box installed at the edge can be installed general-purpose AI apps to suit their purpose (e.g., intrusion detection, headcount measurement, fire detection, etc.). This makes it easy to replace AI apps remotely even when the purpose of use changes.

When the AI application detects objects (e.g., suspicious person, person staying in the room, fire and smoke, etc.) at the edge, it can alert the administrator in a variety of ways. Depending on the system configuration, the system can notify the administrator of abnormalities in a variety of ways, such as via e-mail or LINE, by turning on or blinking a warning lamp, or by displaying a warning message on a display or a simple LED display board.

Usage Scenarios

Detection of people entering off-limits areas or staying for long periods of time

The system detects people who enter a restricted area or stay in the same place for a long period of time from the surveillance camera images, and then reports the situation. The user can freely set which areas in the surveillance camera images are off-limits. For example, it is possible to set the days of the week and times of the day when detection is enabled, so that entry is permitted during daytime hours, but not after a specified time. In addition, an AI application that estimates the attributes of "people" in surveillance camera images can be used to trigger alarms when men stay for long periods of time in areas that are normally off-limits to men (e.g., women's locker rooms, women's restrooms, etc.).

Congestion detection in school facilities

The system measures the number of students in designated areas such as indoor classrooms, halls, cafeterias, outdoor schoolyards, swimming pools, etc., and detects and alerts in real time when the number of students exceeds a threshold value in the detection area. The system can be used to monitor the use of facilities and to prevent infectious diseases by avoiding crowding and close proximity.

Fire detection in areas where it is difficult to install fire detectors

Surveillance cameras are installed near outdoor facilities (behind school buildings, around gymnasiums, near waste incinerators, etc.) where it is difficult to install fire detectors, and the images are inffered to quickly detect and report ignition and smoke. During daytime hours, smoke emission before ignition can also be detected, so fires can be detected in the early stages when the spark of a fire is large. * Please contact us for nighttime detection, as it depends on the camera installation conditions.
