Smart Logistics Center
Automate vehicle warehousing and berth management for warehouses and distribution centers by utilizing video edge AI.
Automated and labor-saving vehicle warehousing and berth management.
Automate and save labor by using surveillance camera images to manage vehicle entry/exit from/to warehouses and distribution centers, guide vehicles to berths, and manage berth usage, which are currently managed manually or by IC cards. By systemizing vehicle entry/exit and berth management, your company's valuable staff can be allocated to more important tasks, and berths can be used more efficiently.
Selling Points
Surveillance cameras are installed near vehicle entrances and exits to the facility, and real-time AI video analysis can be used to obtain information on the vehicle numbers of vehicles entering and exiting the facility.
A surveillance camera is installed so that the location of trucks in the berth can be seen, and the occupancy status and usage time of the berth can be monitored and confirmed in real time.
By matching the vehicle number detected at the entrance with the number of a vehicle that has applied for admission in advance, the use of a berth can be automatically checked, and the vehicle can be guided to the appropriate berth or waiting area.
Standard Features
24 hours a day, 365 days a year, surveillance camera video is used as input to an AI Box installed onsite (at the edge) to perform AI inference processing in real time onsite.
Vehicle numbers and berth usage detected at the edge can be sent to external systems via HTTP POST method or MQTT messages. If your company already has a system in place, we can confirm the interface specifications in advance and link it to your system.
The AI can match the vehicle number of a truck that has applied for admission with the vehicle number detected at the entrance, and can guide the truck to the appropriate berth or waiting area by checking the vehicle number against the latest berth usage status in real time. In order to match the vehicle number with the vehicle number that applied for entry, the AI can send the vehicle number and berth usage data acquired at the edge to your existing system.
Optional Features
Management Systems
We can also undertake the development of a system to manage vehicle numbers and berth usage
Usage Scenarios
Management of trucks in and out of warehouses and distribution centers
Surveillance cameras are installed near vehicle entrances and exits in warehouses and distribution centers to capture vehicle numbers, which are then analyzed by AI to obtain vehicle numbers. The vehicle number information can be obtained as region name, classification number, identification character, and serial number. The acquired vehicle number can be sent to an external system using the HTTP POST method or MQTT messages. Data integration with your existing system can also be considered. The time spent in a vehicle can also be calculated by calculating the difference between the entry and exit times based on the vehicle number.
Manage berth usage
Surveillance cameras are installed so that trucks can see where they are parked at berths (cargo handling areas), and the usage status of each berth can be checked. This allows the system to determine in real time whether a berth is currently in use or unoccupied, thereby automating the guidance of vehicles to unoccupied berths or waiting areas and helping to ensure efficient use of berths. It can also determine how long a truck has been occupying that berth.
Automated guidance and leading of trucks to berths
The AI can match the vehicle number of a truck that has applied for admission with the vehicle number detected at the entrance, and can guide the truck to the appropriate berth or waiting area by checking the vehicle number against the latest berth usage status in real time. In order to match the vehicle number with the vehicle number that applied for entry, the vehicle number and berth usage data acquired at the edge by AI can be sent to your existing system. Upon request, we can also develop a system to manage vehicle numbers and berth usage (*non-standard functionality/separate estimate).
